I completely agree.

And Lunar New Year is not even a thing here in America.

We asians want our kids in school, not taking an unnecessary day off for a holiday that we don't celebrate here in our country. It is a performative day off forced on all of FCPS by woke warriors.

If they bothered to ask any of us asians about it, 99.9999% of us would have said to keep the kids in school that day.

FYI- those weren’t both workdays- there was one teacher training day which leaves no time for actual work and then one teacher work day for grading at end of the quarter. The next teacher work day is for planning quarter 3.

Maybe the calendar shouldn't have unnecessary holidays during a time of the year known to have weather closures.

Because FCPS doesn't value education. Case in point people wanting a delay because of the Super Bowl after weeks of time off. No one has rested enough.
