Op here. Strangely enough I did go to a hematologist. Crazy, right? I have a very mild blood disorder so I honestly believe he just focused on that, and didn’t note my iron levels other than they are technically normal.
Honestly I’ve sort of had it with the medical world. They seem to look for catastrophic issues but don’t hear symptoms or low level quality of life issues. And before you say I’m going to wrong doctors, need to go to specialists who don’t take insurance, concierge practices, etc., I have done all of that. I’ve found you have to research and research and be your own advocate constantly. Which is hard when you’re sick.
