Hopefully many of them have starved to death or frozen in the last 3 weeks.

We need a 90+% reduction in the deer population. They are overgrazing our forests and enabling invasive plants to take over.

I've been dumping carrot peelings for the woodland critters instead of throwing them away. It's hard for them to find food right now.

DP. Sounds like good idea! We need to get some emergency funding from the local governments and set up some meetings to decide what the best way might be to do this. We should probably run a few different test programs to see which method would be best for rounding up and moving the deer. We could have a solid action plan in as little as a month!

I can handle the Excel spreadsheet work. I might be able to contribute ideas, but really my forté is coordinating non-profits with synergy to optimize program results.

I haven't seen them in 2 weeks but their hoof prints are in the snow.

They are still walking around, same as before. I see them just as frequently in my neighborhood.

There was a family of 5 just around the corner yesterday. My kid saw them the day before that too.

We have what can only be described as a small herd that passes through our yard at least twice a day. At least 12, sometimes more. Great Falls.

I had one jump out in front of my car tonight. I slammed the brakes and just barely didn’t hit the deer.

Saw 12 in falls church on Thursday.

I saw a group of over 10 just a few days ago! (McLean area)

Saw 8 yes 8 in Fairfax a few days ago!!!

Just saw two out my bedroom window this morning in Fairfax, and a bunch alongside the Beltway in MD last weekend.

They’re out there.

It has now been a couple of weeks since I last saw a deer. My drive to work would typically have me going past the mangled remains of a deer a few times a week. If not a carcass then I’d often see them at the side of the road or running out in front of me. I guess I’m just unsure. Do they hibernate when it gets this cold, or just stay in the woods?
