That should be, LIVED two years in Japan.

June is a fine time to go to Japan. As long as you have at least 8-9 days including flying time, you should be fine.

It’s hot and muggy but similar to DC. (Source, loved two years in Japan)

Fly into Narita, or fly into Osaka Kansai airport which no one seems to remember.

Spend less time in Tokyo and more time in Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe etc. in that order probably.

I’m confused- you canceled a trip to Tokyo for June but are now going to take different trip in the same time frame? Why not go on the original trip?

It’a a nice time to visit Rio (even if it’s their “winter”)

I love to mix cities and outdoors. I'd go to Seattle, couple days in the city, 3 days in San Juan Islands, couple more days in the city, then fly to Kalispell and go to Glacier National Park.

Bermuda! Quick flight from the DC area, lots of things to do. Beautiful pink sand beaches, crystal clear water, easy to navigate. Tourists can't rent cars, just mopeds/vespas, or tiny cars. Buses are a great alternative if you don't want to drive -- since it's a British island, they drive on the "wrong" side of the road, which can be tricky for tourists.

I think Tokyo would be fine in June, but I’d go to Europe. If the kids are into mythology, Athens and Crete would be fun. It will be hot but probably still bearable in mid-June.

I had to cancel a trip last minute and now have ~$10K in travel credits with United that we have to use by mid-July. We are a family of four, with a 9 yo and 12yo. Spring break is already booked, so this will have to for after the school year ends (June 9).

Where should we go? Originally the tickets were to go to Tokyo, but June doesn't seem like a great time for that.
