NP. We reluctantly gave up on public because could not ask reasonable questions and get any answers from public. Not allowed to see a classroom or their other facilities.

Not a Catholic family, but kids now are in a Catholic school. We were able to tour the school, ask questions, see which textbooks they are using, ask how much Ed Tech they use (minimal in our case).

Check he school distric website and email the person in charge of curriculum. This is their job. Make them earn their excessive admin salary.

What info does your middle school have available online? We are considering between a cheap bare bones private or local public for 6th grade and I was surprised that pretty much zero academic information is given online for the public middle school. There is mention of SEL, health, weekly block format, music and clubs, sports, even PE class and lunch periods, but nothing at all about what courses are offered, what math options are available, what kind of books they read or what topics are covered in each year 6th-8th. The Gifted program link goes to a dead page. This is a top 20% middle school in our state.

Does your UMC middle school have any academic information on the website, or is this not an expectation for this age?
