What did you like about it? Was there this summer with kids. I can't remember a pool. I did like the atrium. The location was good right on the area that connects to lots of restaurants but there were so many homeless people that I felt unsafe walking around at 10pm.

Agree on the Omni. The pool is tiny and weirdly designed. We had a drunken wedding party keep us up all night the first night and we left the next day even thought we were booked for 2 nights.

If she wants to visit coffee shops and cafes, I think the George Washington Hotel in Winchester would be a great option.

Do you already go to nice hotels? If not, I loved when we did a one night away at Embassy Suites when I was a kid. Evening snacks, amazing breakfast, good pool plus the suite! But we did not stay fancy spots so this was impressive.

I’d go to Baltimore, do an Eloise-type fun experience with room service, and then do aquarium or science museum during the day

Williamsburg has some hotels with mini golf and an indoor pool. Plus lots to do in the area.

My 7 year old daughter has been begging for a one night get away with me. She’s a great kid and I want to take her. I’m looking at Annapolis or Charlottesville or another location within an hour or two of DC. Are there any kid friendly hotels (not Great Wolf Lodge) that you can recommend?
