Pay someone selfish jerk.

Must be nice to be a rich white guy…

Not everyone can afford it.

Some people are too sick to find someone to do it.

We can park on the street as long as we want, so Idk why OP assumes this is an issue for all.

Yes, I know it's hard. Yes, my car was plowed in and had at least 2 feet of ice/snow on all sides. It's doable. Or you should arrange someone to move it.

My cars are in my driveway/garage, but there are cars out on my street that are plowed in. Why is two weeks important here? And why would the cars be ticketed?

Why should I care about other people’s cars parked on my street when they clearly can’t move them because of the snow?

Many places have ordinances about street parking. It's not meant for long-term storage of vehicles, so 72 hours is a common rule. You can get an exception a few times a year (for vacation, etc) that you apply for.

Where?

There's no legal requirement, as far as I know, to dig out your car?

I despise my neighbors who have a house full of able bodied adults who will not touch a shovel. They and their spoiled children are above this type of work and they expect our hoa to clean their driveways and sidewalks. They have money but refuse to spend a dime to get it done.

The good news is that this is the first year I have seen anyone on my street shovel the sidewalks.

because in most cases it impedes traffic. On my street a minivan left parked on the street of single family homes made it impossible for the snow plow to clear a significant portion of the street. We are one lane now on a curve. The selfish asshat had an empty driveway he could have moved his car into.

I wonder if jurisdictions are enforcing these rules with the unusual weather situation we’ve been experiencing.

Anyone know which areas in the DMV have street parking limitations? Does Fairfax County?

I doubt it. If so, county/city should give itself a ticket. It is still everywhere!!

Cool, I hope you get a ticket.

After 2 weeks, you've had plenty of time to arrange help.
