My cars are in my driveway/garage, but there are cars out on my street that are plowed in. Why is two weeks important here? And why would the cars be ticketed?
Why should I care about other people’s cars parked on my street when they clearly can’t move them because of the snow?
Many places have ordinances about street parking. It's not meant for long-term storage of vehicles, so 72 hours is a common rule. You can get an exception a few times a year (for vacation, etc) that you apply for.

I wonder if jurisdictions are enforcing these rules with the unusual weather situation we’ve been experiencing.
Anyone know which areas in the DMV have street parking limitations? Does Fairfax County?
