No, but I recently went on gabapentin for headache stuff and it hasn't affected my sleep at all.

Long-term gabapentin use is positively correlated with dementia later in life. Proceed carefully.

OP doesn't need to take it at high doses for sleep. She can take 100mg a night for sleep. A regular dose is 300 mg three times a day. I don't recommend that. I take 100mg at night. I'm pretty sure if I took 900 per day I'd be a total space cadet.

I took it for something else, and didn't notice a change, for that issue, either.

My dr presribed Trazodone to help me sleep, and it works. I didn't take it for a day or two, and I didn't sleep as well.

I take it sometimes. Stick to 100 mg a night. It's enough for me, and I still feel a bit fuzzy minded the next morning even on that small dose. Some people take as much as 900 mg throughout the day - I don't see how they do that. It would totally zone me out.

It is a really strong drug.

Try 400 mg of magnesium glycinate. Take it at 8:00 pm.

Give it a 3 week trial.

I know of an older woman who became dependent on it and it was a nightmare to get her off of it. I would make sure you know the ramifications of taking gabapentin regularly.

I am stopping HRT because I was recently diagnosed with ADH. HRT helped me sleep at night due to hot flashes, etc. My OB recommended gabapentin as an alternative. It sounds promising. Anyone have experience using it for menopause related sleep issues?
