For Middle school afterschool Neighborhood and Community Services pays for staff and most activities so Fairfax County Budget. FCPS pays for transportation and (cross Country and track) .

It sure seemed like FCPS picked an obvious target to cut so that it would get massive public support and have funding returned to it. But that's how it always felt to me.

Last year, the county budget cancelled middle school after school programs and summer VIP camp, but people found out about it, wrote their supervisors, and they kept the program. Does anyone know if the after school programs are in the budget for the coming year? Do you know where I could research that? Thank you!
