I have kids in the school. They are loved, nurtured, and well-educated. We have many friends with kids in the school who feel the same way. I'm sorry you had a different experience. If it hasn't been resolved after all this time, I suggest getting a lawyer or a therapist.

Yes. Thank you. One of the teachers is a very close friend of mine and if any of this were happening she would have left AND I would know. Do you know how many schools want to hire a Chinese teacher? If a school was abusive to students, all good teachers would root it out or leave, and the fact that this hasn't happened and that teachers are happy to stay long term tells me that this parent is misguided.

Are you kidding? Sometimes teachers do not see, ignore, or are complicit.

DC's Ombudsman for Public Education is an option when families have a conflict with their public school that is not being resolved.

Washington Yu Ying public charter school has child abuse (teachers hitting children) and bullying issues, how can parents deal with this, without retaliation from the over zealous parent community and the school? Already spoke with the school and they comment that this has never happened before, they have not helped. And now that I asked another parent I’ve heard it has happened before, but no one is helpful on what to actually do.
