It was frustrating to have had our hopes up for what seemed like no good reason, especially as we had initially thought the school was a long shot. Hang in there! It will work out for the best

Prepare now to work it- write an email now to respond to the waitlist right away. If you know anyone connected to the school, reach out now and see if they’d be willing to talk to the school on your behalf after notifications go out. It likely won’t move until next week and it is miserable to add days to this already long process, so I’m sorry you’re in this position. It isn’t fun but use this time to come up with an actionable plan.

Anonymous wrote:Only two schools have notified so far so you are giving away the school a bit. If you get into your 2nd choice, that’s a big win. The PSDs can only push so much so the school was probably more enthusiastic about the other child. The waitlists might move but not much. Focus on your 2nd choice. I know lots of families who are extremely happy at what was originally their second choice. Maybe even send them a first choice letter to up the chances.

I also heard through the grapevine that our PSD was pushing for another child to get in to our top choice because that child got “no” from their top choices, and our child got interest from our second and third choice.
I don’t want to say if we have a boy or girl of what school in fear it will give us away.
All our schools are TT single sex.
Unsure what to do now.
Did your PSD tell you you would be waitlisted? How do you know already? I would imagine he / she should be scrambling right now to get you a Yes at your #2 or #3?
