So an extra 3 days of delayed opening is the equivalent of losing a whole day of school, on top of the 5 we already lost (most if not all of which will be added at the end of the year and hence involve pretty much zero learning)?

Give it a rest.

They are right.

Why? You don’t want to hear about kids getting shortchanged academic instruction? You can go hang out in the diet and exercise forum.

No, I'm just not dumb enough to see this as "detrimental" because it isn't.

My kids bus picks her up at 6:40 AM. She leaves the house at 6:30 to get there

Regardless, my class isn’t starting new material until next week anyway. This week is all class rules and expectations and team building/collaboration activities. That was the plan for last week and I am just sliding it to this week

My guess is another delayed opening for Wednesday (to get past most of rush hour before buses hit the roads, and also because there's a chance of more snow overnight/early Weds AM although it'll likely be less than an inch.), and then probably on-time opening on Thursday and Friday unless Tues and Weds are such a mess that it doesn't seem feasible to start earlier during rush hour.

What do y'all think?
