So kids know an acceptance is coming. Could have helped my son last year. Had EA admits in by mid-Feb and only had W&M remaining for RD. If he had gotten a postcard, we'd have gone and visited around that time. We debated going, but he preferred to wait and see if he got in, and I agreed (we'd been there a year prior, so he'd at least seen it). By the time his RD acceptance came in late March, he'd already mentally committed elsewhere, and it was a losing battle trying to convince him to go revisit W&M in April.
NP. Ah that makes sense. These RD schools lose good candidates. My kid applied to W&M, and a few other RD schools, but honestly they’re leaning toward awesome EA schools they got into! I wish W&M did it earlier.
