All these "Georgetown is better" responses are referring to college rank. Which I'd assume OP knows.
But this sounds like a great candidate for ND - I hope it works out for her.

BC hands down. Georgetown experience sucks. Schools are not that far apart. Boston beats DC for college in any event. Also better Alum network. Look over Georgetown very carefully. Visit a couple of times. DS at Georgetown; DD at BC.

I think a LOCI makes sense. I don’t know about mentioning Georgetown though. Notre Dame knows applicants love it (yield for a school without ED is insane) and they might be less inclined to want to triumphantly win cross-admit battles with a fellow Catholic school than you think. Risky to put that so openly on the table…

Kid should instead be acting with grace, and reiterate that they love Notre Dame and will definitely attend and any new info supporting application…don’t mention other schools.

She really should write a letter to ND. She should indicate that she has gotten into Georgetown but ND is her first choice and express why. And I'd mention Villanova. Mention them to ND. ND *would* like to steal her away, imho. They need to feel the move though. Especially GT, ND may feel your DD would go there do to being closer to home.

Yeah, BC is very underrated by US News. Yes, the prestige of Catholic schools goes ND to Georgetown to BC to Holy Cross but they are all prestigious enough that is kid wants to go to one, let them.

Do not assume a BC admit, which you are clearly doing. If kid wanted to go to BC, should have applied ED….

ND football is almost as cultish as Michigan football. If this isn't her thing, ND may not be the right place for her.

If she was deferred from ND, she still has a chance she'll be accepted, right?

That aside, does she like the feel of the Georgetown campus? Now that she's admitted, have her do a deep dive into the campus culture there.

Forget prestige at this level. She should go where she feels good.

Pretty easy call in my mind - Georgetown and be done with it.

I wouldn't assume a BC admit. They 100% yield protect in RD. My child got into Notre Dame and a number of Ivies in RD but not BC. They will not waste an admit on a kid who they assume will not come. At our private this meant accepting kids with 3.7 GPAs and denying the 3.95s.
