I hope so.
I trust the Dems can't be this dumb, but there was another thread last week asking Congressional staffers what they were hearing in Congress. The only person that answered was from a Senate office and they said all they were talking about were some leaked Ted Cruz remarks about the GOP and Trump.
Zip about funding, ICE, etc. Doesn't give me a lot of hope.

This is the vote to split out funding for DHS. There are five other agencies that won't be funded if they don't approve this. I don't care about DHS either but there's a bigger picture here.
Yes, I know. I work at one of those other agencies!

Anonymous wrote:Seems like the hopes of a quick resolution for government funding (with the exception of DHS) is hitting a snag in the House. House minority leader Jeffries and some hardline GOP are saying they won't vote for the bill-splitting proposal.
Very frustrating - we could have full fiscal year funding for almost the entire government and then laser focus on DHS, but somehow folks are still allergic to compromise.
I emailed my Rep this morning. I believe the Republican House call already happened and Dems are supposed to have theirs at 5 pm.
