Mochi maker

I'm Japanese and have never made mochi at home, and don't know anyone who does. It's so easy to buy prepared dried rice cakes and heat them at home. My preferred method is baking them in the oven: it's fun to watch them bubble and toast. Then you wrap them with nori (dried seaweed) and dip them in soy sauce.
