Reasonably priced but HORRIFIC service. I once was in their waiting area, running about 40 minutes behind for my appt, when a girl my age (we were maybe late 20s at the time) came in. She also started waiting. After about 20 minutes, she said "Hey I parked in two hour parking, do I need to move?" Luna made a big stink about how she would be in and out in two hours.

Lo and behold an hour and a half later I was just wrapping up and this poor girl was just getting started. I felt so bad for her and wished I had spoken up and said, "You should move your car, they're never on time."

They do a good job, but their time management is terrible so be prepared to wait. For a while.

Wasn't there a PR&Partners training school downtown? And I think a Paul Mitchel school in Tysons. Those are cheaper.

Now this would involve a trip to Annandale, but Nat is absolutely amazing, and there is a free parking. For just a haircut without a blow dry it's $55:

I've never had a better haircut, and I've paid up to $200 before at other salons in DC and NYC.

Pola at today’s hair in college park. I shouldn’t post her here lest she blow up and become hard to book or more expensive.

I started going to bubbles two years ago for similar reasons and I am very happy either way my $60 haircuts. I keep going back

This is what I've been doing the last few years as I'm trying to cut back on salon costs. I like that they are very transparent about pricing on their website and I know exactly how much everything will cost before I go. They have stylists at different levels, the last few times I've gone to the navy yard location and my cut has been around $90 and it has been a good cut. I think you could also save money if you just get the cut and don't get a blowout or style, which I'd be willing to try once I was happy with my cut and just getting trims.

I have curly hair and have also had good experiences at several bang salons. I had a regular stylist at bang before the pandemic; afterward I tried a few different people and the cuts were fine but not enough to make me a regular.

honestly, I have been fine with Hair Cuttery/Great Clips types of places although I have a pretty straightforward cut. At $40 even if you don't like it, it's not that big of a deal.

Lost my job sue to re-org, but need a haircut. Long, fine, curly. I’m in NW.

I’d honestly like it back above my shoulders but don’t want to commit to the upkeep.

For reference my current stylist is > $125 and I just can’t justify that right now.

Any salon or stylist recommendations? Near Metro would be terrific as parking is going to be ridiculous for the foreseeable future!
