Really, wasting time? I mean it’s a soccer tournament. We’re all kind of wasting our time. What do you think happens in the top 2 brackets that makes those worth it? Nike contracts and tv deals? Let me guess… Everything you do is totally worth it but what everyone else does is a waste?

Jeff Cup is only good if you are in top 2 brackets, everything else just wasting time

You sound really really invested in this, pp. I am sure the Jeff Cup people try to basically get the better teams in the top brackets and the weaker teams in the second half. They don't really care that much whether Larla's team should be in bracket 2 or 5.

What you are looking for is an Echo Chamber so you can listen to other people opinions that are the same as your own. You won't find that here. 1st you say the tournament organizers are crazy and now your argument is that parents are crazy. Guess every one is crazy except you? Then you say they don't rank the teams, but then you provide a an example of selectively ranked brackets to to try to support your point. If you had an argument, you could have said, "there is no difference between the '1st' bracket and the 12th bracket. Or whatever." But you said 8th and 12th, acknowledging there is some kind of difference.

I would also like your "assurance" there is very little research going into the brackets. How could you possibly "assure" anyone unless you were on the Jeff Cup staff. It's a nice sounds bite, but you are also FOS when you make statements like that.

And by the way ,the applications were due in late October when most of the fall season was complete, so.

Jeff Cup acceptance is not what it used to be. Many top teams and clubs elect not to attend. There are other, better showcases around the same time now. The teams you don’t see aren’t left out they chose not to play.

Look at the rankings App. Only a handful of top ranked Aspire teams are in and they beat a lot of RL teams. So league affiliation is not a quality factor. Also, they consider last year's performance as it is hard to assess current performance where the teams have to apply in October when they have few fall games under their belts.

Seems like there was a huge inconsistency with showcase acceptances at least on girls side. Across the board I see Aspire and NL teams??? Then I see some bigger VA clubs ECNL RL or GA teams left out. What is going on this year with Jeff Cup? For example, Loudoun 08 Aspire got into Jeff Cup and they are 5th place in the Aspire league??? Alexandria GA teams are in but all their teams are near last place in GA??
