Curious if anyone's DC sign up for the NVA MLS Next ID session and was invited to trials even if it's been cancelled due to weather. I haven't seen anything so not sure to hold out, or move on.

Id sessions are fine. Just go to the first one as they start giving verbal offers on day 1

You gotta get in those fees early to be rewarded and win genetic lottery - no matter how decent.

No wonder Spain and Italy clean our clocks every 4 years (both smaller average height)

You sound bitter.

Its just like trying out for any other team. Reach out to the coach/coaches and ask to join a training.

The term 'transfer' is being grossly misused here

It takes a lot of thought and consideration to even think of going on trial and change club for a starter. Sometimes a player stays too long out of loyalty hoping for something or changes that was never delivered. Change in program philosophy, coaching style, toxicity of the environment and program are big drivers.

Email the head coach and request a trial

How would you do it? My son has been on one of the local teams for a couple of years, homegrown division, gets a lot of playing time, but now thinking about changing clubs. Should he just go to ID sessions or how does that work?
