We've used and told the doctor about it for decades.

OP asked about smoking weed, vs ingesting cannibis. I think a lot of people are eating their weed.

My doctor asked as well, but it wasn't just related to smoking. She wanted to know about use in general.

It's useful for a doctor to ask. But an occasional gummy is certainly a lot less harmful than an occasional drink or cigarette.

It is for me. I'm a 48 year old woman who has had chronic issues with my back since I was 20. THC helps with pain tramendously. I take a gummy at night, sleep like a champ and wake up with little to no pain. It's a win, win.

I coudn't care less what the obsessed poster who keeps asking this dumb question thinks.

Well, it's legal in many places and people use it. Lots of things that aren't good for you are "normal"--cigarettes, alcohol, soda, candy--and weed is just one more of those things.

Is it normal to use drugs?
Hell no.

Wait you don’t use aspirin or blood pressure meds or a GLP? Caffeine? Those are all drugs.

If you mean it’s bad to use illegal drugs, THC is medically and recreationally legal where I live.

Is this becoming the new norm?

"A few times per month" probably means at least weekly.

No, it's not normal or good, OP.

I mean- my dr is the one I get my medical THC prescription from. Are you concerned that he asked, concerned that he said he’s legally supposed to disavow it, or what is your question?

I'm curious how old that doctor is.

Yes, despite DCUM’s bi-weekly reefer madness threads (I don’t smoke or use any THC products, so please save the weird histrionic addict accusations).

Our medical school teaches students to ask about drug and alcohol use, because it is very important to making accurate diagnosis.
