I recently saw some instagram hairdresser who preaches no conditioner, no brushing or combing when wet- blow dry with usual styling products instead. I’ve been doing this this week and it’s working out fine but I don’t know what difference it makes re breakage and damage

Yes always because my fine thin hair is super straight and easy to tangle. If I didn’t use conditioner, I would break so much of it trying to comb it out after the shower.

Recently I have been either running light conditioner thru ends and rinsing basically immediately, or after towel drying using a bit of k-18 and leaving it in. I do blow dry and use a touch of curling iron, but only maybe 2x week and I don’t color or otherwise process my hair.

I used to, but recently I found a really rich shampoo that protects my hair without the need to add conditioner. But maybe in this dry weather I should still be adding conditioner, at least on the tips of my hair...

I do. My hair is naturally curly and it helps with the curls, but I still use conditioner even when I'm straightening it. I get static/flyaways really easily in winter if I don't.

I should have added that conditioner doesn't really have any effect on how easy it is to comb my hair out after a shower. It just makes it a little softer (maybe).

Often but not always. My hair is pretty oily so if I haven't washed it in more than a day I'll just wash and not condition, since I feel like there's enough residual oil.

As title states. If you have thin fine hair do you use conditioner on it?
