This. Any public hearing and work session will be just pure show between now and March. They might take in one or two extremely trivial suggestions to make you feel good. But things have been decided under the table, long time ago.

Anonymous wrote:The superintendent's final recommendations on both the boundary changes and the program changes are supposed to be presented next Thursday, 2/5, with the final vote by the Board of Ed on March 26th and theoretically 2-4 public hearings and 1-2 Board "work sessions" on the subject in-between. (There are also supposed to be operating budget hearings/work sessions in the coming weeks and a vote on that on 2/19.)
Anyone think Taylor might use the snow (and the 4+ days of no-telework snow days for Central Office staff) to claim they're not ready and delay the recommendations another week or two, to make it harder for families to have enough time to push back on any proposals and for Board members to request and consider any amendments to the proposals?
