If I were going to the hotel in between, I would definitely change bc in the hotel room I would have to take off the first outfit to relax anyway.

No. Once I was in a wedding like that with a long time lag and we went bowling in between, including the bride and groom, all in our fancy dress. It was super fun!

I wouldn’t but it’s fine if you do. I don’t think there is really such thing as a “church dress” that cannot also be worn to a botanical garden or vice versa. Just put a shawl over it in church if you think it is too low cut.

We are invited to a May wedding in the midwest where there will be church wedding at noon and then a 5:30 reception at a botanical garden. Both events are close in enough that we can go back to our hotel in between. I would be inclined to wear a church dress to the wedding and a cocktail dress to the reception. Do people usually change clothes in between events like this?
