Use a free AI admissions "advisor" to find target universities. Your kid has a solid shot at UMD honors or OOS state college honors with scholarship or T20/T30 full pay ED.

Consider a private admissions consultant. As the parent of a Senior who did very well at SMCS, college admissions is a crap shoot. Have a good mix of reach schools and safeties and your kid will be fine.

Extracurriculars are important, but not that important. Consider a private admissions consultant if you can afford it.

Hi - we have a current 10th grade at the Blair SMCS magnet. Need advice from any parents that have BTDT re: getting ready for college applications. Do parents hire private counselors since the Blair counselors have so many students? How do middle level kids do in terms of college admissions ? My kid just has average extracurricular activities - he is not an Olympiad team member, robotics genius or Regeneron level scientist. Any tips or advice welcome !
