will the new agency require the training the ice officer failed to receive upon hiring at DHS. Will the new agency take it upon itself to do the background checks that ice failed to do at hiring. So in answer to your question I dont see these guys having any issues getting federal jobs in the future.

My husband had been a contractor doing data/programming work for ICE. Thankfully, he retired two years ago so isn't caught up in all this.
One telling thing from the first T. administration -- he worked on database listing immigrants and they used to have a code to classify "criminals" (I don't know the actual term). It used to note anyone with a conviction. When T came into office they were ordered to use the same code to classify anyone ever arrested. Ta da! a lot more "criminals" to deport.
