North Bethesda and Walter Johnson are top notch schools. It's a wise decision to return.

The kid who is bored will remain so until HS, when they can take all honors and AP courses
MCPS isn't great with MS curriculum, but NB is adequate. Has some amazing teachers, and some duds, but we always told our kids that was part of life trying to figure out how to get along with all different kinds of people.
They'll be fine

I think you should do what you want to do.
Why do you think it is better? I wouldn’t assume your kid will be less bored in public. This is more a personality thing. If you are subscribing to the theory they can be bored for free in public, I get that.

We left mcps for parochial school during covid, and want to head back for our kids. Some would go to Wyngate and some would go to North Bethesda Middle School. Kids are good kids, one of them has a mild case of adhd but gets A’s and B’s. One of them is a full grade level ahead and gets perfect scores in everything (and is very bored).
What is the latest in Wyngate and North Bethesda Middle School? It seems much better than the Covid era so would love to see my kids thrive in a public school setting.
