I think it wildly varies based on where you are. If your school follows FCPS or is in northern MoCo, for example, then certainly possible. If you're in DC or inside the beltway, I think a couple days plus maybe a delay is more likely.

Field, GDS and a number of DC private schools made the call an hour or more ago. I’m fine with them taking this day by day, and I’m sure they will make the best decision, based on the travel conditions for families and teachers that come from near and far.

Definitely if your school goes by any of the public school systems other than maybe DC. I don’t see any public school systems being able to open because there will be zero melting.

Why can't they announce day by day based on how the conditions/clean-up actually go? The storm isn't even over yet.

Plan on a closure, OP. My kid's Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra only canceled today's rehearsal yesterday... when it was obvious for days that Sunday rehearsal was never going to happen. I don't know why some organizations feel the need to make last-minute announcements. Makes them look stupid.

Which schools have cancelled Mon/Tues? I think most have cancelled Monday but I haven’t heard of much cancelling Tuesday.
