Go to the doctor since she was previously dry overnight. It may be a fixable medical problem.

There's a good chance she's constipated.

This is why they have Goodnites Underwear for tweens. Let them wear those at bedtime and you won’t need to wash the bed every day.

One of my nephews struggled with puberty and started wetting the bed for a while. It not the sort of thing anyone wants to admit to, so he tried to hide it by washing his clothes and sheets. Of course, didn’t go unnoticed, which was embarrassing for him. When he confided with me what was happening, I admitted to having a similar problem. Knowing he wasn’t alone made him feels better about himself and there was someone he could talk to.

Aw man, I feel for her, that sounds so embarrassing! I agree with the puberty thing, and will add constipation can also trigger bedwetting.

Get her checked for a UTI.

If she's starting puberty that can cause it, You could try goodnites if she's doing it frequently.

My youngest daughter potty trained easily around 3, although wasn’t consistently dry at night until early in first grade. No issue, perfectly normal and we just kept her in pull ups until she was ready.

There were one or two accidents in the year or so after, usually when overtired or sick, pretty much the same as my eldest had experienced and just part of growing up.Now she’s in sixth it’s a long forgotten memory.

Then this morning I decided to change the beds and do some laundry as we’ve got plans over the weekend when I’d usually do it, and I found her sheets damp and stained, so she’d clearly had an accident. Unexpected, but hey ho it happens. I didn’t want to make a thing of it or embarrass her, but had a quiet word when she got in from school just to say accidents happen but to let me know so I can take care of it instead of leaving it to smell and finding it later.

I was floored when she admitted it had happened twice earlier in the week, but she’d felt too ashamed to tell me! Being 11 she makes her own bed in the morning so I’d had no idea, and she’d just been sleeping in the damp bedding since.

She’s so embarrassed, and I don’t know why this has suddenly happened. It must be 4 years since she last wet the bed, so why now? Her older sister never did it after about 7 either, and it seems odd that she’s had two accidents in a week after being dry for so long.

I’ve popped the waterproof sheet back on just in case and reassured her that if anything happens she just needs to let me know, she can’t be sleeping in a wet bed as it’s not healthy, but what do we do now?
