West coast of what country?

Says PP, surrounded by headlines news on all media of a incoming major winter storm.

I had no idea this was weather related; I'm not US east coast based. Nor do I follow weather advisories for that part of the world.

The impact of this storm is expected to be widespread, from Texas to the mid-Atlantic and NorthEast. I think something like 100 million people impacted.

This. Saturday will be difficult since there will be delays/cancellations for flights to/from Texas and southern Midwest. It has a cascading impact on other flights that aren’t originating from those locations.

He won't be flying back to DC on Sunday.

If he can get a flight getting in by 5 or 6 PM Saturday, probably good chance it will run. Anything later than that, I suspect the airlines will start cancelling because they won't be able to turn them around and fly out Sunday morning (most Alaska Airlines flights that arrive at DC airports at 9 or 10 PM stay overnight and fly the 8 AM return to the west coast).

I don’t know that Saturday is any safer. An ice storm covering Texas to Atlanta is set to start Friday evening and as major airline hubs could impact flights. If DH goes, it should be with the expectation that he could be delayed getting home by a few days.

We cancelled a weekend trip to Texas due to the snow. I think it’s going to be a huge storm and take days to clean up. I wouldn’t fly if I were you.

DH has a work trip this weekend, leaving early Friday and returning on Sunday afternoon. Wondering if he should cancel or reschedule his return for Saturday to avoid being stuck there. Or would flying east on Saturday also not be a good idea?
