Your dh needs to go meet a neighbor quick or find a pet sitter and leave a key somewhere, just in case!

ATL could be dicey too. They’re right on the ice line for Friday if the storm pushes to the south. Houston is likely to be all rain until Saturday.

Earlier always the better when delays are likely. Less opportunity for earlier flights to cascade into delays on your flight. More options to change to later in the day if something does actually go wrong.

have to go for work; moving up my flight given the weather forecasts from saturday morning to friday. having a hard time sorting the timing of the predictions. can do a 4 pm flight via houston which would allow me to not miss meetings. houston looks like rain at that time on friday but temps still well above freezing. i did notice that dallas (further north) already has a winter storm warning starting friday afternoon...wondering if i should try to leave earlier and maybe not fly through a TX city if i can avoid it. houston is forecast to get ice on sat/sunday.
