We've been to Rome a couple times and have seen all the tourist spots. Looking to relax in a nice neighborhood area (with an upscale rental) convenient to restaurants, groceries, a couple shops, etc.

We have generally stayed near Campo de Fiori as well. If this is a first time trip for any of the party I think that it is a good locale.

We absolutely loved staying at an Airbnb in camp de fiori with our kids over the summer. Would also like it without kids. Great for feeling like a local but being able to walk to major sites and other areas

NP but jumping on this thread with the same question. We have not been to Rome, want to see all the tourist spots, and will have three kids in tow (teen/tween age).

We stayed in Ponte, it was very convenient. Walkable to Vatican, Castelli del Angelo, etc

looking for same. I may tag along to a DH thing for a week to 10 days. We've done all the touristy things and he'll be busy. I'd love to hole up in a lovely neighborhood, and try to be very "local" and where budget is not a driving factor.

is that Monteverde?

No, Monti is the neighborhood between Termini and the Colosseum.

Monteverde is west of the Tiber River, just south of Trastevere.

Monti is becoming more touristy by the day but for a reason, if you are within 5 minutes of the Cavour metro station you are in great shape.

I see lots of availability all over but looking for a recommendation for a neighborhood or area that is easily walkable to a couple restaurants, coffee shop, groceries.
