I would like her to start tracking it herself, and an app would hopefully send her a reminder in the days before so she can double check herself. She has severe ADHD and I’m trying to teach her strategies to set reminders for things, so an app is what I’m looking for advice on now.
Previous poster who suggested you frame it as her being stocked to help others
I too have ADD, and this is why while I have an app suggestion I don’t think an app is the solution
As an ADD patient for decades trust me when I say that the greatest motivator is other people
Tell her that she should fulfill the role of being the girl who always has supplies for everyone and she will actually keep her stuff stocked up
A reminder app will simply send her a notification at a random time. She will look at it, think “oh yeah I need to do that”
and promptly forget that she needs to stock up five seconds later
But if you tell her that others are relying on her? She will make sure she is always able to help others, they’re counting on her
