Thats also a sign of heart issues. I'd go get a checkup.

It's a hot flash and it's the most common perimenopause symptom. Welcome!

Welcome to your mid-40s. This is perimenopause.

It's peri. The only thing that stopped this for me was HRT.

It can be. Peri is the start of losing estrogen, which affects the entire body in various ways. Some of those changes will be cycle related, while others won't.

I keep waking up at 3ish overheating with an elevated heart rate. I'm not sweaty, so it's not night sweats, and it's not dependent on my cycle. It's almost every night. I can throw the covers off, cool off for a couple minutes and then usually get back to sleep, but I'd love to figure out wtf is going on so I can sleep uninterrupted.

Last round of labs at annual (November 2025) were all normal, not sick with covid/flu etc... I sleep in linen sheets, a cotton blanket, and a light comforter in a linen duvet, no clothing. My room is about 60-62 degrees. Same mattress I've had for years (it's a Purple), so no new changes there. The only change I've made is trying to lose a bit of weight and not eating after 7.

What the heck?!
