I just had a small chip fixed: it's like magic! You honestly could not tell at all, and because both front teeth got filed ever so slightly to make them even, my smile actually looks the best it ever has, all for a very cheap price. I would absolutely do that first before veneers. They often look so awful even on celebrities who can afford the best work.

Oh, and I support bonding first but the dentist needs to determine this. For small chips it may work, it did for me for about 15 years (got the chips at 10, veneers at 25) but each time the bonding falls off they have to file down the tooth more and at a certain point that happens all the time and the structure of the tooth won't support being like 30% bonded. So you veneer.

I have veneers and two implants due yo an accident. If the teeth are healthy I would try bonding first because of the permanent damage veneers cause.

However, mine look pretty good I think. (the shade was matched to my unaffected teeth so they are literally the exact same color, not some ultra bright white.) got them in another city so can’t help with recs. I do think you want to go to someone who does a lot and has a good reputation which will be pricey.

I wouldnt veneer healthy teeth OR go to a dentist that doesn’t specialize in cosmetic work for so many teeth. I got one veneer on a broken front tooth and you would never know.

I have veneers due to a cracked front tooth in my late teens. I'm now in my 40s and on my second set.

Use a dentist that specializes in cosmetic dentistry. The difference between decent veneers and great veneers is amazing. Everyone saying "veneers always look fake"... it's because they don't know the good ones are veneers! And the horsey veneer look is usually because people are using them to fill gaps, so the veneers are unnaturally large for the mouth - that's less of an issue when you're using them to cover damage and keeping the same profile as the original tooth.

They will have to drill your teeth down to make room for the veneers, so it is a permanent choice - you'll never be able to remove them and go back to your natural teeth.

You do have to be somewhat careful with them. I broke my first set after 8 or 10 years biting into something hard. That looks REALLY bad and immediately became an emergency situation to get it fixed, because when the veneer breaks off, you're left with this tiny stub of a tooth. I've had my current set for almost 20 years, and am a lot more careful with them now.

In your case, I would try bonding first - you can always go from that to veneers if you're not happy with the result. But once you make the commitment to veneers, there's no going back. So you might as well try the less drastic option first.

That was a bridge that fell out. I think she had terrible dental care as a child.

Why not try the binding first, especially for small chips? Veneers seem drastic. And they won’t match the rest of your teeth.

Veneers damage teeth and there is no coming back from that- if you have to have veneers re-done, you will damage more perfectly healthy tissue. Depending on size of chips, I would consider having dentist just rounding out any sharp bits with burr and leave it be. Google celebrity bad veneers and ask yourself if they had access to the finest money could buy, why aren’t the results better?

You should go to a prosthodontist.
I wouldn’t trust a regular dentist with cosmetic work. My DH had to have a whole-mouth reconstruction done due to congenital poor teeth and his results look natural, not like the chiclet teeth.
