I haven't gotten far, but there is some correlation between the seasons, but not a lot. They tell you what the correlation is. That said, I rewatched S1 before starting S2.

I just finished rewatching season one so I could start season 2. Season one was good. I love Olivia Colman!

I completely agree on both points. But I think when one is truly engaged, it is easy to forgive. It reminds me of back in the day when we actually read real books. Coming across a plot hole and the proverbial throwing the book at the wall (wallbanger) only to run across the room to snatch up the book to find out what happens next.

I loved Season One. So many great characters. Tom Hiddleston was so smooth and confident and not in a way that made me attracted to him, just found it compelling. Olivia Colman, as always, just so good.

Richard Roper was so entertaining and over the top. So bad but so vulnerable in regards to his son.
Corky, crazy bad/good.
The uncovering-the-truth plot points (execution) were really well done.

FF to Season 2. I have just started Ep2 and I can barely get through it.

TH is 10 years older and isn't nearly as smooth and confident, imo, as he was in S1. He seems almost self conscious.
The storyline is very much one dimensional. Get the bad guys, where S1 had so many side stories between the characters making it multidimensional.

Basically, disappointed, and I have been looking forward to this since I heard they were making S2.

I think Tom Hiddleston is a good actor but I absolutely can't stand his cheesy smile.
