I'd take the train to Philly. It has a nice, energetic vibe with great restaurants, museums, theatre, music and dance. Stay in Rittenhouse Square and you can walk along the Schuylkill River path to the art museum, and walk, take the bus, or a quick rideshare to other destinations. Less crowded and less expensive than NYC.

I would go to NYC too. Easy train trip. Get a hotel in midtown. Easy to walk lots of places. Hit up some museums and/or shows. Sounds fantastic!

I like hiking but not in the freezing cold so may not work for February. Spa might be nice if I can find something that's not a bazillion $$. Not a big shopper in general. TY for ideas so far!

I would do this. The Quirk hotel is fun and hip. Richmond is much nicer in warmer weather.

Depends what you want to do, spa or hike or nothing but relax. The Homestead or Greenbrier or Nemocolin are driving distance or take the train.

I have an odd 3 days in mid-Feb where I would like to get out of town. DH is away on a boys trip and my kids will be at school, so I'm basically solo. Trying to think of somewhere that might be nice to go by myself, but vastly prefer driving or train distance vs flying. Any ideas??
