I'd rather work and sit, and then get a solid workout in (in the early morning for me).

Sometimes I'll take a call on speakerphone and do some light cleaning.

You’re still moving and it’s better than doing nothing. It isn’t meant to replace a real workout.
The best benefit for me has been that I don’t slouch at a desk like I do when sitting.

Right—the point is to avoid sitting for 8 hours, which is connected to health problems and earlier death.

Op here. This is my concern. My father had colon cancer and was largely sedentary (long commute, extremely long day at work; repeat x5-6 days/week) from the time he had kids through the cancer's onset. I don't know if that was the primary cause, but it scares me.

I can only use mine while on calls or during training

I just got one and am still figuring out the logistics of using it while working. So far I have used it between meetings, but I plan to use it during meetings where I’m listening (and off camera) rather than participating.

I am able to walk at 1.8-2.0 mph and type. I love my walking pad

What quality of walking pad do you need for it to be decent. I have seen them on amazon for $150 and up. Are the lower end ones functional?

OP. Thanks - I think I would enjoy this, too. Particularly for brainstorming sessions. I tend to space out if I simply stare at my screen.

I haven’t been able to type and walk. So I use it when I need to read something and think. Quick notes are doable for me.

I have a sit/stand desk, which is in 'stand' at least 50% of the day and I'm considering a walking pad. I just need more movement overall. Would love to hear about the experience of incorporating a walking pad into your day-to-day. Exercise benefits and also -- can you actually work while using it? Calls wouldn't be an issue (we all have camera fatigue) but I am trying to imagine typing while walking.
