Have you thought about those choices?

I know this feels really big, but in the end everything will work out. Let me know how we can support you.

No. Are you serious? They are mid 20s not 16. Many of us were married in our mid twenties. How rude to ask if they have thought about it. Do you seriously think they just flipped a coin? Good lord.

They do have choices. Nobody needs to have a baby they're not prepared to raise.

Who said they don't have a choice? Maybe read a little slower. What was said is that of course they have thought about the choices. Better wording would be "lets talk about the choices".

He asked his mom for advice. Did you even read the first post?

Yes, did you? Clearly he is THINKING about it since they made the appointment and asked mom for advice. You don't say to anyone "have you thought about those choices". So condescending.
.

Do you have any advice or are you just here to bash people?

+1 and having this baby will tie these two people together for the rest of their lives. They are NOT married. This pregnancy is going to force them to think about whether they are both committed enough to this relationship to be co-parents to a child who will have had no choice in the matter. If they were on the path to marriage and this just moves up their timeline, that's one thing. If they had no intention of marrying each other and especially if one or the other was unhappy in the relationship and looking for a way out, they should really consider terminating the pregnancy and releasing each other from that lifelong connection.

The post above is a great answer, if you are willing and able to do these things.

Your son feels safe telling you this information. I think that's great.
