Honestly, paying $400,000 for a bachelors degree at one of these "top" schools is just as bad.

It's all such a scam.

DCUM, still shocked that American colleges are a business.

+1. These programs are huge money makers for these schools.

I know a guy who did a program like this at another fairly well-known, reputable school. He and his spouse go to every single alumni event for the school, prance around in t-shirts from the school, etc. It is really sad.

I'm always amazed when I see LinkedIn profiles for people who actually were dumb enough to do programs like this and they put the school in their profile like they actually went there. For a few seconds I think they did then I quickly realize it is a totally bogus program that only requires a pulse and a check that clears to get in and it has the opposite effect - I think less of the person rather than more.

Others got it too. Not necessarily in architecture or environmental spheres

I received this in my LinkedIn today.
Let me preface this by saying I am a 57 year old licensed architect with sustainability credentials (Passive House and LEED).

"Hi, XXX. I’m Shannen Holback, the Assistant Director of Admissions and Marketing for Georgetown's Masters of Science in Environment & International Affairs. Based on your profile and experience, I’m confident that Georgetown's Master of Science in Environment & International Affairs is the next step to achieving your goals.
With the January 15 priority application deadline fast approaching, now is the time to take action and secure your place in this transformative program."

I don't know what's worse - using LinkedIn to blast this program or the pointlessness of this degree.
Or maybe they think people in my age group are so bored that we need to go back to school for vanity degrees.
