Hellbenders will be reopening with the same menu and new owners soon. They have great food you can get to go. Siriannis is good, but gets packed. There is Canaan BBQ, Mountain State Brewery in Thomas is a hidden gem with great brick oven pizza, the Billy Motel, Moguls just opened in the old Mutley’s Steakhouse and is great seafood and Italian.
For a great beer - Stumptown Brewery (which sometimes has food) and Big Timber right in Davis.

If weather is bad just go to lodge. Almost always eat in when out there on weekends. The few restaurants are not worth the hassle.

As another PP stated, unless you’re planning to eat at the lodge itself (we were there last weekend and there was live music at the bar on Friday night, so I think they’re open late-ish), you’ll end up driving to Davis (about 15 minutes away). Sirianni’s is our favorite, but just be aware that they’re cash only. We’ve never tried Hellbenders, but have heard it’s good. The BBQ place is closer to Timberline and also pretty good.

Hellbenders is imminently reopening with new owners. Billy Motel is great. The two state resorts have decent breakfast buffets and Blackwater has a fine dinner with lots of options (BBQ focused).

We have a place out there and have been going out there for 25 years.

There are also a couple of places in Thomas that you might want to check out. The Purple Fiddle is fun. There is an Asian fusion place on the way to Thomas that is good. There was another pizza place as well as a more upscale place on the main drag in Thomas. There is also Mountain State Brewing Company that serves pizza and some other stuff.

Nope, they are open - just changed ownership.
I think I heatd that Hellbenders closed. Sirianni’s is good. Gets very crowded on weekends and only takes cash.

Love Timbeline as a beginning ski experience for kids. First year we are going somewhere different just to have a different experience for the kids. We brought / cooked most of our food and stayed in the condos at the base of the slope. The BBQ place was decent, but is pure BBQ, i.e. no hamburgers for picky kids. It may have changed, but only 1 of my kids enjoyed the BBQ.

Besides the dining in the lodge, the closest restaurants will be in Davis, about 15 minutes away. We usually stop by Sirianni’s.
