Why is MCPS refusing to have a loss of credit policy? It could help students who "an out" with friends when feeling pressure to cut class.

Are we ever going back to having final exams?

What needs to happen to convince the school system to go back to having a textbook for math? It is easier for students to have examples, problems, a few answers in the back etc than to have so many worksheets.

This post seems weird.
You just recently became fed up with the system? I don’t buy it.

You have a union. That is your voice. What have they said recently?

This is normal, OP. My kids did this as well. No one at school batted an eye. It's actually a good thing for teens to learn what to prioritize in their lives. I don't think anybody at school begrudges a high-performing kid looking to get into a good college for their absences, considering that college admissions is determined in large part by what kids do OUTSIDE of school. Schools are worried about low-performing students who skip school.

How is it that you didn't know about this site on your own? I find it hard to believe that you had to hear about it from your partner.

Sounds like a parenting issue.

Why are you making the decision you are to hurt our kids and families? Why will you not have a structured curriculum, with textbooks, formal teaching and help any child struggling? Why will you not address the safety issues in the schools? Are you ok with the financial mismanagement?

My partner told me about this website a while ago and now I’m fed up at the system. AMA
