There is no need to wait. It is a graduation requirement with no prerequisites, it can be taken at any time in high school.

AP Economics counts for this credit though, so if that's at all in their interests/wheelhouse, you wouldn't want to do personal finance.

I believe the online course is synchronous, has a specified time that the kid has to be online for class. It's more a traditional class, just online.

Anyone knows the difference between self-directed vs online campus Econ and Personal Finance course?
Remember some kids select this course during 8th grade summer. What is the purpose of doing this?
Is it a high school requirement course? Or if you are not aiming for Finance or related major, you don't have to select this course?

Another question: Can you select more than one course during 8th grade summer?
