What specifically do you need it for, OP? You might be able to get by at first with having a friend take a few using your smart phone. Just pay close attention to the background, lighting and what you wear.

My spouse retired from the government and got a free headshot at our library. We live in Maryland. Try there or your county government job placement office.

I am starting out and need a headshot(s). However, the services I've received quotes for are super expensive. And look, I understand the value of photographers and, if I could pay it, I would. But I can't. So first:
- do you have a rec for a reasonably priced photographer in NOVA?

Next, I did one of those AI generator headshot services just as a placeholder until I can get proper pics. They were pretty ok, actually, and I weeded out the "proofs" that were unrealistic or silly looking. But, the ones I narrowed it down to could stand a tiny bit of editing (things like flyaways, gray hairs, minimizing facial lines, etc.) Not to make me look different but to just make me look a tiny better. Any free software that would allow me to do that? I don't have photoshop or anything like that.

Please no lectures. Not all of us have generational wealth to just dole out money for anything and everything. I'm trying to be creative here.
Thanks.
