So, the article is again somewhat misleading.

On the one hand, it is saying that the McKinsey's and the Goldmans of the world are no longer going out past the top 20-30 schools anymore...but on the other hand, it is saying that companies are restricting their hiring to certain schools, but not necessarily the "top" schools.

They cite GE appliance restricting their school visits to say 20-30 schools to include Purdue and Auburn. They also cite a silicon valley start-up restricting their schools to local SV schools (so UCB, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Jose State).

Plenty of HYPSM grads having difficulty finding jobs. Trades would be better looking at the next 5 to 10 (somebody has to build all those data centers and power plants) years but most of the blue collar jobs would be replaced by advanced robots but later than white collar jobs.

Just means there aren't enough jobs for NG. Companies find this convenient excuse to hire selectively or not hire at all.
