It's really unlikely. People use pure hyularanic acid for microneedling because it's so neutral.

I’d halt all products you are using (including makeup), daily wash with vanicream cleanser, apply avene cicalfate to the patches, and a moisturizer like vanicream to the rest of the face. Assess after 1-2 weeks if the patches are going away.

Micellar water causes this reaction on my skin (including Bioderma).

I’d halt all products you are using (including makeup), daily wash with vanicream cleanser, apply avene cicalfate to the patches, and a moisturizer like vanicream to the rest of the face. Assess after 1-2 weeks if the patches are going away.

I can't use HA; despite all its touted benefits, it just ruins my skin. Stop with the micellar water that has HA.

I have sensitive skin and use Bioderma Sensibo micellar water. Doesn't dry or irritate anything.

Known triggers especially in drier weather:
fragrances
preservatives (parabens)
sulfates (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES))
alcohol
strong exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs)
synthetic dyes

HA is a moisturizer.

Been using about 8 months. Is this (?) causing red scaly patches on my face? Or could it be that with some other things like occasion retinol use? I have 3 right now.

Meanwhile, these red patches are here to stay it seems. Nothing fixes it. Derm biopsied one and its just irritated skin.
