I agree. It's fine. The main negative for me is the back yard. There really is none.

Do you have a central appraisal district that lists all properties, deed history, taxes, etc.? If so, you can find the property in question and see what is going on with the deed. Though sold on one day and relisted on the next might not be enough time for the new owner to have been listed. But it will probably tell you if it was a probate situation.

Often times, it’s just that the title was changed and it shows as a sale on these listing services. I doubt anyone undergoes such an abrupt life change that means they are selling as soon as they buy…and also takes a loss.

It could be that it was in the probate process for a while (that can last months) and the heir knew that they wanted to sell it and had already contracted with an agent to put it up for sale as soon as it transferred (and real estate agents need business soon right now). Or it was a deed on death situation where the decedent and real estate agent had already made an arrangement while the decedent/owner was terminally ill. Even with deed on death it might take a while for the county to actually record the new owner.

That's a nice quiet neighborhood. Good schools. Big downside is no garage (IMO), but maybe one could be added.

It's close to some great amenities like a nice public library and South Run Rec Center (plus summer pools). Close to good shopping options. I would be surprised if it goes under $700.

I never thought of that. I’m asking if a relocation service for the of some sort for the employer bought it because the employee homeowner had to relocate.

That does happen sometimes.

I have a good work acquaintance who is looked at this house. It was listed in July, sold in September, and then listed the next day for about $12k less. Does that happen because the owner is being relocated for work and the employer buys the house as part of a relocation package? It’s still on the market and the price keeps dropping.
