I think OP could date as it’s not difficult to find men who would adjust their schedule for the right person. She can find time here and there and then meet them. Casual relationship works even better for her if she’s into that.

Something casual? You'll probably be ok with. If you're looking for a serious relationship, unfortunately you're just not in a place for that right now. You're probably devoting at least 20 hrs a week to nursing school, and if you aren't yet, you will be. Add that to 50 hr work weeks and you just won't have the time or energy to develop a serious relationship.

Realistically, how much time do you have to date? I'm guessing you pick up hours on the weekends and at night?

I’m a working single mom with limited time. Can't she just chat with a few people online and find time for dates till things settled a bit? I am sure there would be a weekend or so when OP is not busy. I don't know if it would be enough to find a meaningful relationship.

You can't. Time is finite. If you are working full time and in school full time (and nursing can be heavy) you just don't have time to date. Dating is another commitment and there are only 24 hours in the day. By the time you have worked, gone to class, done assignments, showered, eaten, and slept - you have no time left.

I am in my early 40s and going back to school for nursing and also have a busy job. I need to work close to 50 hrs/week and stand all day but it is very tiring. I am always trying to get a few extra hrs because overtime pays more and I have a lot of debt to deal with. I don't have much time to date but what would be the best strategy and how I can still keep my partner engaged and involved in my busy schedule.
