Just an FYI, Amazon saves your credit card for each individual purchase. It doesn’t matter if you don’t actually save that credit card on your account or even delete it from your account after the transaction.

I say that to say they can and often do come back and charge you long after the transaction, return, glitch, etc.

Just happened to us and it was a total PITA to get it fixed/refunded. I wouldn’t be surprised if their system catches this mistake and recharges you in 4 to 6 weeks; ex. we never received your return which you were already credited for, so we’re re-charging you.

I would chat with customer service on Amazon.

They are one and the same. My credit card is from my bank where my checkings and savings account is.

People are just confused because of your implication that you had set up some sort of ACH transfer and were horrified.
Yes, the generic "my bank" can mean lots of things.

Bezos is a billionaire. After ruling out fraud I'd let it go. Glitch in the system and he can afford it.

They are one and the same. My credit card is from my bank where my checkings and savings account is.

This happened to me with Zappos. I got a credit for returning any item I still have and never tried to return. I used a gift card on the original purchase so it’s just sitting as a credit on my account. I guess after a year or so I’ll just use it?

My credit card is saved in my amazon account so they refunded my credit card. Is that not normal? I have had my credit card in my amazon account for probably 10-12 years!

I would not give Amazon direct access to a bank account.

I returned something about a week ago, but I have that refund already. That item is also marked returned and refunded.

I didnt return anything recently so I logged into my amazon account and it shows that the returned product has been received and the refund processed. But the product is sitting in my living room and I didn't do a return for it. I don't see anything else unusual in my amazon account.
