*we’re, not were. Big difference an apostrophe makes!

A series this long, showing Jesus and the disciples interacting in ways that aren’t explicitly recorded in the gospels, can’t help but take quite a bit of artistic license in trying to bring these scenes to life for a modern audience.

That said, my wife and I (were Protestant Christians) are enjoying the series very much.

Not sure if this should go in religion or entertainment, as it is a series.

My family and I started watching The Chosen and found it to be extremely well written. The acting is amazing. The writer is a Protestant evangelist. But they have a Catholic priest present to be sure the program falls in line with the teachings of the Catholic faith.

I highly recommend it. For the faithful, fallen away, or nonbelievers. It is THAT good.
