It's offered as a virtual asynchronous class currently. However, that will change as more kids are taking Algebra 1 in 6th. Alg 1 in 6th was really offered to a wider group of kids just this year. Before that the only kids in Alg 2 in middle were kids who took Geometry over the summer. So there just weren't enough of them. I wouldn't stress about it, because they most likely already have the teachers who are qualified for Alg 2, just not enough kids for a section. But that will change as more kids are offered Alg 1 in elementary.

I thought it was stated that the AAP centers will not change. Not sure what that means. Whether it will now be Jackson for the new Kilmer to Thoreau kids or will it now be Kilmer as the AAP center for those students. Smh. What a mess

Last few years including this year, Kilmer had in person Algebra 2 class. As currently some of 6th grade are taking algebra 1, I assume that they will keep offer that. (More middle school will have algebra 2 class)

Algebra 2 is not offered at Kilmer either. Prealgebra/Algebra 1/Geometry (regular and Honors) are offered.

DD1 went to Luther during Covid and it was almost all virtual, and the experience is fine. Now we are looking to make the decision for DD2.

Currently zoned for Kilmer/Marshall.

Boundary changes would move us to Thoreau/Madison.
